Atlantic Wrestling Club
Once upon a time there was the Atlantic Wrestling Club.

Running from May 2005 to November 2006, AWC was something new and exciting, and it rapidly made its way to the pinnacle of the Primetime Central network. Stars such as Pierce Lavelle, The Illustrious Face-Eater and Garbage Bag Johnny were born. And then... silence.

The story of the Prometheus Serum had haunted AWC from beginning to end, the Club's entire legacy tainted by the illegal performance-enhancer. Lavelle was banned from the game for unknowingly using it. The Educator won three title belts in one night on the back of its effects. Alexander Strider died from it. Entertainment Manager David "Pearl" Harber nearly suffered the same fate, on 24 November 2006 -- the night that its inventor, reclusive multi-millionaire Dr. Kasidy Drake III, closed AWC without warning.

Jack "The Bull" Murphy stood up for AWC members and fans past and present. "AWC is dead. Long live AWC!" he cried. And so they carried the torch, in staunch defiance of Drake and his nefarious ways.

Now, four years on, Drake's world is in ruins. The credit crunch reduced Drakewerx Pharmaceuticals to a mere shell. On 1 June 2010, David Harber finalised the deal that would electrify wrestling fans across the globe. The ownership of the Atlantic Wrestling Club passed into his hands.

Four years may have passed, with AWC but a memory to most of us. The roster may have moved on, sought pastures new. Tainted by the poisonous snare of Prometheus, they struggled to find work. Lavelle, Murphy, Ellis Nash, Mike Wade -- all long retired. But the Bull's words were heard. No matter how high the chips are stacked against him, David "Pearl" Harber will fight tooth and nail. He will prevail.
